We offer our families up to 1140 funded Hours/Year over 50 weeks, which means:
- Up to 22.8 funded Hours/Week for 50 Weeks
- Up to 5 funded Sessions/Week
The 50-weeks usually starts on the second week of August and ends on the last week of July (exact dates are confirmed by the council and we will keep you updated). Please note that these two weeks are not funded. If you choose to send your child during these weeks, standard nursery fees will apply.

We offer 22.8 funded hours per week over 5 sessions. This includes 4 funded sessions (20 funded hours) which can be a combination of AM and PM sessions:

Additional Information
If your child requires nappies, please either supply them or we can provide them at an additional cost. Note that we supply shop-bought nappies up to size 6+.

Additionally, we have closures on:
- One in-service day (date to be confirmed)
- From 4 PM on Christmas Eve or the last Friday before Christmas, reopening around January 4th (exact dates to be confirmed)
Up to 5 Funded Sessions per Week
We offer 22.8 funded hours per week over 5 sessions. This includes 4 funded sessions (20 funded hours) which can be a combination of AM and PM sessions:
- AM Funded Sessions: 5 hours per session, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (includes breakfast and lunch)
- PM Funded Sessions: 5 hours per session, 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM (includes an afternoon meal)
- Partially Funded Session:
Up to 2.5 Funded Days per Week
For those who prefer a 2.5 days funded attendance:
- 2 Full Funded Days per Week: 10 hours each, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (includes breakfast and lunch, afternoon meal to be paid for separately)
- Partially Funded Session: 2 hours and 48 minutes can be allocated to any session. For a 5-hour session, 2 hours and 48 minutes are funded, and the remaining 2 hours and 12 minutes are privately paid.
Additional Information

Application
Families should apply for funding:
- Glasgow City Council children - Please follow the link to see if you are eligible to receive the Eligible Twos Funding
- Cross Boundary children - you need to apply for funding to your own council
Requirements
To hold your place we require the following:
- Child's Enrolment Form consisting of Registration form, All About Me and Terms & conditions of Enrolment.
- For the child: The Full Birth certificate (not abbreviated) or Passport and a proof of address (e.g. Council Tax letter), as we have to key all information in the NAMS system,
- For the parent: Parent's birth certificate or Passport, that will help to link the child to the parent for child protection
- A proof of being a UK resident and eligibility for their child to receive funded hours. Please note: If parents are not a UK citizen, please follow the link to know what documents you need to provide
Fees
- Parents & children may receive only their funded sessions at Smiley Stars Nursery, the funded sessions are funded at the point of entry and parents pay for resources & sundries per session, please ask management for further details
- If you require more hours, we are here to help
We also offer Early Drop-off from 7:30am (depending on the nursery).

If you purchase extra paid sessions, we will require:
Deposit: A deposit is required at the time of registration. The deposit will be refunded providing a minimum period of six months attendance, all fees being up to date and 1 months notice has been given.
The deposit is non-refundable if:
- you decide to cancel your place
- a place is booked but not taken on the due start date without providing a minimum of 6 weeks notice; and the start date is delayed for more than 2 weeks, re-registration is required and it is subject to availability
- the account is in debt on leaving; or
- The notice period of at least 1 month is not given
Administration Fee: As part of your registration procedure a non-refundable administration fee is required.
Withdrawing from Nursery
If you wish to withdraw from your booked funded sessions, we require 1 month notice.
